Sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures aim to protect the life and health of humans, animals and plants.
The SPS studies provide an overview of the international context in relation to SPS requirements and at the same time point out the SPS challenges that African companies face when exporting to the EU (for selected sectors).
Furthermore, the studies provide a comprehensive description of the characteristics of local quality infrastructure and include a guide to best practices to be followed for selected products, aimed at producers and companies in the respective sectors. National and international quality and certification requirements specific to these sectors and related services specific to EU SPS requirements are also listed in the guide.
